Like most moms, I give the best of the food servings to my kids.
I take the burned chicken. I take the bruised apple. I take the broken cookie. I have witnessed this phenomenon in other moms, so I know it's universal.
However, there is a limit to my altruism.
The biggest, gooiest, cinnamon roll with the most icing - that baby goes on mama's plate! Every time.
To paraphrase a comment left on my blog: "I wish I lived next door to you. I would find all kinds of creative reasons to show up at your door at BREAKFAST time."
Yes, you are right it is universal.
I spent the weekend at my parents' house and my two sister-in-laws (Amy and Ronnin) mentioned Starr who lives in Lubbock and Amy mentioned your blog. I asked is her blog Lost in Laundry? Amy and Ronnin told me how they both know you. Ronnin said you were one of a few friends she had in Dallas and that she spent a lot of time with you and did a bible study with you.
I know that I did come across your blog from Amy's, now I know the connection.
Lori :)
I so understand! I save the one in the middle for me.

I'm Starr Cliff. A domestically-challenged mom, climbing over mountains of laundry to bring you my stray observations and amusing stories about my kids. (more)
