55% of you just eyeball it.
It seems I am in the minority. Even after 15+ years of making mac-n-cheese, I just can't get the right ratio of milk and butter without measuring.
I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Have you ever seen one of those cooking shows when the host will pour some kind of liquid into a saucepan, and never use any kind of measuring tool? "Add a cup of this, 1/4 cup of these, and a pinch of that."
Grrrr!!!! What is a pinch? Anyway, if I would attempt to eyball anything while cooking it would probably taste like something I can't say.
