Last night a friend and I went to see "Little Women The Musical" at Lubbock Christian University.
So fun.
I love going to any kind of live production, and this is the first one I've attended since we moved to Lubbock.
And I've decided... "once a drama nerd, always a drama nerd."
My only experience with "the theater" is my three years in High School. Which was well over 10 years ago. But I've convinced myself that my limited experience makes me an expert on all things theatrical.
I totally analyze everything happening onstage and think about all the stuff going on backstage as well. All the costume changes, lighting cues, prop placement, and set design.....I love that stuff!!! Truly I'm far from an expert. But I like pretending I am in my own mind.
And I remembered how much I love the book Little Women. A re-read is in order.
I read Little Women to my daughter last year. I love that book, too! I didn't even know that it was a musical! Did it do the book justice?
I do the same thing whenever I go to a musical! I was in two musicals in high school, so I have a TON of experience - ha!
I got the unabridged version on itunes for $12.00! I loved being able to "read" and fold laundry!! Next - really read it to MY little women!
