Bathtime Management
Tuesday, March 4, 2008

So if I give all three kids a bath on the same night, it takes me well over an hour. Is this a normal amount of time? It seems long to me.

Should I graduate them to showers? Do I need to just speed up the process? Make the boys share, even though the amount of water they jointly splash on the floor is completely ridiculous?

Good grief! Having one take a bath every night is a process that takes long enough for me! I could not imagine three! Sorry, I'm no help!

no doubt that is an inordinate amount of time. No idea what the solution is!

Our boys take showers. They like baths better, but we reserve baths for evenings when we have extra time. Even at 10 and 9 we have to remind them to use soap and shampoo when they wash. LOL.It will get easier as they get older, so hang in there.

I have 5 and if they all bathe in one night it takes about 20 miutes, until my 11yo gets in the shower. Then it stretches into about 1 hour. So we finally decided to make him last and he has 15 min from start to out of the bathroom and if he isn't out we have dessert without him. It has certainly speeded up the process. All of the older kids take showers and the 2 younger ones get in, bathed, and out. It is really nice when they can bathe themselves.
