This picture was emailed to me from a friend. It was taken in Sapulpa, OK.The Tulsa area has been hit hard with a heavy ice storm. My grandparents, in-laws, and friends all across the area are without power.
My Grandma said it's the worst ice storm she's ever seen, and with the amount of trees that have fallen it looks like damage a tornado would have caused. Apparently almost every tree in the region has either fallen or sustained serious damage.
I have a whole new appreciation for trees after living in treeless West Texas. The Tulsa area is called "Green Country" for a reason - it's sad that all those big beautiful trees have been damaged.

I must tell you that it is crazy to see all these broken trees. I must tell you that I almost feel guilty that we didn't lose power for very long...only for 8 or so hours on Sunday. Crazy.

It's been....COLD, and it's really sad to drive around and see all of the damage. We finally got power on yesterday-we had been out since Sunday night.
